Can I shop in person for a Christmas Kid this year?
Yes! We are offering both virtual and in person shopping options this year!
Sunday, December 6th: Walmart 970 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076 from 12pm-3pm
- Clark Howard will be broadcasting live 1pm-3pm
Saturday, December 12th: Walmart 2635 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, GA 30096 from 6am-12pm
- Ashley Frasca will be broadcasting live 6am-9am and Clark Howard will be broadcasting live 9am – 12pm
Sunday, December 13th: Walmart 210 Cobb Pkwy SE S, Marietta, GA 30060 from 1pm-3pm
What if I don’t want to shop, can I just make a donation?
Yes. If you just want to make a monetary Donation, you can do that here.
What if I have gifts I have already bought and want to donate?
We will take them! While we can’t tell you who your gifts will be matched with, we will ensure that they are matched with a foster child of the appropriate age. You can bring the gifts to one of the in person Walmart events and donate them or you can drop them off at our warehouse. Please ONLY COME to the warehouse during these times:
The warehouse location is 4380 International Parkway, Atlanta 30354, Suites E+F. Gifts can be dropped off on weekdays December 1st- December 5th, and December 8th – December 12th between 9am and 3pm.
Will there be any broadcasts this year?
Yes – there will be broadcasts!
Clark will be joining other hosts on WSB radio on December 6th from 1-3pm, December 12th from 6am-noon and 13th from 1pm-3pm.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
After you buy your gifts or donate money, you will receive an email from DFCS that you can use for your taxes. It will include a receipt for your purchase, and this letter from DFCS. Please save both the email and the letter for your records and consult your tax advisor. For more information or if you haven’t received your email, please email CCK@dhs.ga.gov
